Registration opens Dec. 6 for Spring 2022 session

Registration for the spring session of Piedmont Adult School is now open.  Classes will run January 3 through June 4, 2022. You can find course offerings in the new Moonlighter catalog or online at piedmontadultschool.org.

We are offering many new courses this semester! Courses in our “General” category include:

  • Tools and Techniques for Navigating Retirement
  • How to Organize your Junk Drawer
  • Mindful Positive Parenting
  • The Four Tendencies Workshop
  • and more!

Cooking classes are back!    Offerings include:

  • Sushi and Nigiri Workshop
  • Dim Sum Workshop
  • Knife Skills Workshop
  • and more!

Computer classes for everyone    In response to popular demand, we have added many new computer classes.  New classes include:

  • iPhone 101
  • Ob La Di, Ob La Da (Listening to Music on Apple Devices)
  • Much Ado about “Noting” (Apple’s Notes app)
  • Create and Edit PDFs in Adobe Acrobat

Our Career Technical Education (CTE) classes are state-funded and free to students. in addition to. We are offering:

  • Apple/Mac Basics (NEW!)
  • Programming in Python (NEW)
  • Google Drive

Free Creative Retirement classes    Through the Adult School’s Creative Retirement program, we offer several free classes for senior citizens. These classes are held on Thursdays at the Veterans Hall, 401 Highland Ave., in Piedmont. No registration is required, and interested participants are welcome to just drop in.. Courses include:

  • Exercise for Seniors (9-11am)
  • Fine Arts Media (10am-1pm)
  • Needlework Drop In (10am-12pm)

Registration opens December 6!    Classes will be held both in-person and online. In-person classes will be held at Piedmont or Millenium High School. Classes will follow the Piedmont Unified School District Covid-19 guidelines and restrictions. Registrations can be submitted online, by mail, by fax or by visiting the adult school office in person.(see details below) Applicants age 55 and over are eligible for a $10 discount for regular adult classes, excluding seminars and special classes.The Adult School office is located at 760 Magnolia Avenue in Piedmont. (Entrance is across the ramp from the new STEAM building). Office hours are 10am-7pm Monday through Thursday.
