Piedmont High School : Achieve the Honorable

WASC Accreditation Visit & Schedule Nov. 4-7
Date Posted:

For the past two years Piedmont High School has been going through a self-study process in preparation of an accreditation visit by representatives from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Public high schools go through an accreditation process to validate the integrity of the school’s program and transcripts, foster the ongoing improvement of the school’s programs and operations to support student learning, and to assure a school community that the school’s purposes are appropriate and being accomplished through a viable education program - trustworthy institution for student learning.

The WASC visit will take place Sunday, Nov. 4th to Wednesday, Nov. 7th.

Four volunteer educators representing WASC will be meeting with district staff, students, parents, and community members throughout the four days to validate the Self-Study document.

The visit will culminate with an oral report to staff and stakeholders on Wednesday, November 7th from 3:15 PM to 3:45 PM in the PHS Student Center. The PHS community is invited and encouraged to attend the Wednesday, November 7 meeting. I hope to see you there!
